Troubleshoot: Unable to import from KeePass 1.x

Enpass can only import from KeePass 2.x and later. If you attempt to import from KeePass 1.x, you will see a “Nothing to Import” error. To fix this error, upgrade to the latest version of KeePass before exporting your data to Enpass.

Step 1: Export data from KeePass 1.x edition

  1. In KeePass version 1.x, go to File > Export, and select KeePass database.
  2. Choose a location, and save the file on your device.

Step 2: Upgrade the KeePass data

  1. Download and install, and set up the latest edition of KeePass.
  2. In your new KeePass, go to File > Import, and select the file format KeePass.kdb (1.x).
  3. Select the file exported from KeePass 1.x
  4. Enter your database password, and select the Keep Existing option.

Step 3: Export your new KeePass data and Import to Enpass
