Use Enpass to check for 2FA-supported accounts

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is one way sites provide an additional layer of security for your accounts, like when you’re sent a one-time confirmation code to your phone or email. But an even more secure method of 2FA requires an authenticator app to generate single-use codes — called time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) — and Enpass comes with that kind of authenticator capability built in.

Enpass’s Password Audit lists all your Items that could be upgraded to app-based 2FA security. From this list, Enpass can help you update those Items to automatically fill in the required one-time codes whenever you log into a 2FA-secured account.

Enabling two-factor authentication increases your level of security by reducing the risk of password breaches.

How Enpass checks for 2FA-supported account

The Enpass servers sync with TwoFactorAuth.org and passes on the latest information about 2FA-supported websites to your own Enpass app, which then checks that list against your stored Items. None of your data is ever exposed because the process of checking your accounts takes place entirely on your own device.
