Syncing and accessing Enpass data between devices

Enpass data can be synced across all your devices without sending any data to the Enpass server. There are three ways to sync your data between devices: via any of the supported cloud services, directly between devices over Wi-Fi, or via Folder sync.

Syncing data via supported cloud-storage services

Syncing your data though a cloud service keeps your devices up to date with each other even when they're not in the same place.

Enpass supports the following cloud services:

  • Dropbox
  • Google Drive
  • OneDrive (Personal/Business)
  • iCloud
  • Box
  • WebDAV
  • Nextcloud

Cloudless syncing

Enpass can sync all your devices completely offline, using only Wi-Fi instead of third-party services.

Wi-Fi Sync

Wi-Fi sync keeps your Enpass data up-to-date across devices on the same Wi-Fi network.

Folder Sync

Folder sync keeps your encrypted Enpass data backed up to a folder on your drive.

Good to know

Sync timing

Enpass syncs your data...

  • Every time the app is unlocked
  • Every 15 seconds when the app is active in the foreground on your device
  • Within 5 seconds every time you save a change

Time Stamps

Each sync is time-stamped, and you can check your sync status any time:

  1. Go to Settings, and select Vaults, then select the vault you want to check.

  2. Under the heading Last Synchronized, you will find the time stamp of the most recent sync.
