Using categories in Enpass

Enpass includes familiar built-in categories to help organize your items automatically. Each category has its own extensive set of templates, so when you chose a category while creating a new item, you will already have all the fields you need for the information you're storing. You can also create custom categories.

To change the category of an existing item:

  1. Find and right-click an item in the list pane, then select Change Category.
  2. Select a new category from the options that appear on the left of the screen.

To show or hide available Categories in the sidebar:

  1. Next to the Categories heading on the sidebar, click •••, and select Edit Categories.

  2. Check or uncheck categories to select those you want to appear in the sidebar.
  3. Click ✖ to close the Category picker.

To hide the Categories group in the sidebar:

  • Click the Categories heading to collapse the section.

  1. Tap Browse.
  2. Tap Edit.
  3. Tap  to hide a category from the list or  to show a hidden category.

To swap the order of the Categories and Tags sections:

  1. Tap Browse.
  2. Tap Edit.
  3. Use the ↓ or ↑ icon to swap the sections.
