Setting up an Enpass Hub hosted by Enpass

Enpass Hub is a supplementary server that enable the following powerful additional features for Enpass Business:

  • Security Audit Dashboard for organization-wide password health & overall security score
  • Access recovery (if a user loses their Master Password)
  • Enhanced, simplified vault sharing (without having to provide vault passwords)
  • Centralized monitoring and security event analysis through SIEM (Event Logs)

Your Hub can be securely host on Enpass severs, or your IT department can set up your Hub as a local server (in which case no Hub data leaves your infrastructure) . The Enpass Hub does not host your organization’s password vaults — only encrypted vault keys and metadata (names, locations, password heath statistics) that enables these additional features — so either way, your passwords and other sensitive information never leave your trusted cloud or local storage.

The steps below are for setting up Enpass Hub hosted by Enpass. If your IT department is setting up your Hub as a local server, see Setting up an Enpass Hub and integrating with the Admin Console.

IMPORTANT: Once you enable all the features, every Enpass user in your organization will be prompted to authenticate their Enpass app. Once authenticated, users will have access to Streamlined Vault Sharing and Access Recovery, and their vaults will be part of the Security Audit in your Enpass Admin Console. To see which users have connected to your Enpass Hub, go to Admin Console > Users, and change the filter above the user list from "All" to "Authenticated."
